In Tibet!

Hello all!!  I am in Tibet right now, and I'm having super fun!  Facebook doesn't work over here, so for those that have a facebook account, it would be awesome if you can announce that I have a small change in my gmail account.  The "02" became an "04."  I don't know why but it got disabled :(  So if you e-mailed me to my 02 address, please e-mail me the same thing to me new address!

The food here is awesome-liciously good!  Haven't had anything else but Chinese and Tibetan food, but there has been no misses in where we've eaten!  Boo Americanized Chinese food!

So many people stare at my fellow classmates, and when I start speaking to them in English, everyone starts to stare at me (so funny).  But people will come and talk to me with (of course) fluent Mandarin, so I can't answer them.  My goto phrase has become "Wo bu neng shuo Hanyu."  Is that even correct?  Saaaaddd.....

But I'm doing happy and great.  Everyday is a different day, and the people are super nice, and I love the baozi, thukpa, momo, jiaozi...  Yes!!!  The cheap!!! Everyday food!!!!

The sky is super blue and the grass is freshly green, it's beautiful here!!!

And I saw the solar eclipse to top it off!!!  Mwahaha!

Blueblueblue~~~~~.

Stupee ants!  Going after the chocolates!  It's February!  In Humboldt!  What are you doing not hibernating!?

And oh man I am so addicted to One Piece...  And I just found out that the voice of Usopp also does the voice of Kudou Shinichi/Kaitou Kid.  Wha...?  That's what I love about seiyuus.  They can change their voices according to their roles, and LOVE the fakeness of it!  It's an animation!!!  It's supposed to be fake!  Just like Fukami Rica does Sailor Venus' high voice and Fran's low voice.  I like Sailor Venus' voice.  In fact, I love all the voices in Sailor Moon minus Artemis and Sailor Star Fighter/Maker/Healer.  Though I did get used to it...  I was watching tons of stuff on youtube for the voices.

The music that I never skip on my iPod...  I started listing them and realized.......... ... ... ... There's way too much.  I have about 12 for Utada Hikaru (Traveling, Interlude, 光・・・) alone, and tons for Shimomura Yoko (Tension Rising, orchestra version Passion, 彩の大地・・・) more from the piano collections (クリーチャークリエイト、闘う者達、襲撃・・・), Cirque du Soleil (Jeux D'Eau, Bamboo, Battlefield...), J-Pop (何度でも、Jupiter, 宙船・・・)、uuuuhhhh.... yeah...

PLUS!  The CDs that I don't put in my iPod are: drammatica (Shimomura Yoko), FF live music, FFT & FFXII & Vagrant Story (Sakimoto Hitoshi, including Hakase Taro's "Hope").  Yes.  Those are the music (or, for FFT, XII, and VG, the games) that I like too much to listen to on an iPod.  I've got to be able to blast it and du-AAAAAnce with it!!!  TOILET PAPER MAN!!!  Woo-hoo!  Hilarious song!

Anyways...  I want a farm!!!  The Agricultural Geography class is so interesting, it makes me want to get a big yard and plant all these things (the varieties that are not mass produced) and have a pretty sustainable food life!  Seems so fun!  If I'm in the SF Bay Area, I'll have tomatoes (I'll stew 'em!), potatoes, garlic, squash, eggplants, cucumbers, herbs, apples, pears, peaches, collard, kale, turnips, broccoli, onions, more and more and more...  Heirloom varieties, please!!!  No more of the monoculture, please!  I have a thing against subsidized American food (corn in particular) these days!  Arrrrgghh!!!

Well...  I just want to go to Kazakhstan and eat the undomesticated apples (most likely super sour?) or the tiny pears that are so filled with sweetness that it'll explode my mouth.  MMmmmmmmmmm....
I mean, whoa: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heirloom_plant
There's lots of those potatoes up here, and cheddar, purple, yellow, and Romanesco: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fractal_Broccoli.jpg
Chard: Beautiful and a whole lot of yum: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chard
And more and more and more and more and more....  Oh shoot, all the things that seemed so new and wwwhhhhooooaaa~~~~~..... is now getting so mundane.....  I want to see more variation!

FOOD!

A black cat doomed Evan's formidable garden hedge in just kick-licking moments.

....What am I doing~~~~?????  Anyways, that was thirteen words, I think?  It's kinda fun, in ABC order.  Can someone do the full alphabet?

Anyhows, I'm going to be in shape!  Enough of my slothy couch-potato ethics!  I shall be in shape!!!  For taiko!  For taiko!!!  For taiko!!!!!

And!  I'll be a computer worm!  Maybe not as much as a worm, but close enough!

Being a Geography major is nice in Humboldt.  You get to use super spiffy computers that can use Apples and Windows at the same time, and it has ArcGIS and AdobeIllustrator 4.0 and such and such.  I can use the scanners, too.  Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk.

Until about in middleschool (I never gave it a thorough thought, that's why), I seriously thought writers (book-writers, not journalists and such) used the pencil and paper to do their job.  Uh.  EXCUSE ME???  Computer, please!

Mwarmwarmwar.  I shall change!!!  I shall change!!!  I shall chaaaanggeee!!!!!  Like Obama!  Obama City!  Little Shore City!!!!  Weeeeeeeee!!!!!

Whatever.  'tis fun.

APASA (Asian Pacific American Student Alliance--might go for a rename soon) calls yesterday Lunar New Year, because it isn't only China that celebrates it.  But then again, there many cultures that celebrate their Lunar New Year on different moons, so what can I say?  Might have to play the drums.  Couldn't get Lion Dancers!  Noooooo!!!!

But anyways, I'm happy when I'm happy.  I'm happy to be happy.  Yes, this means that I have a bit of a blue streak going on, like

"I feel like my life's not going anywhere!"  and "What am I going to do in the future!"

But oh well.  Nothing good comes out when feeling unsure.  Who cares, really?  It's going to turn out a way I like.  If there is something that I can change about myself, it's my personality (which I don't want to change and love, but know is full of faults) and my interests (which I don't want to change and love, but...  eh.  I don't know).

Um.  Yes.  I was supposed to do homework.  Homework!  Yee-haw!!!!  I pledge to become a better person!  A more organised person, that is!

Bananas

I like my icons, however old they may be (with the typo and all!).  Thanks to Rosa!

Looking up graduate schools (places that have Geography and Oceanography), and I think the only places that I'll be considering are: UCSB, UW, and UH.  I should really open my horizons, but
1) I like home.  Which means the SF Bay Area.  Which means west coast.  I'm not going to New York or Florida or Maryland or where-eeeever.
2) ...wait.  I think that's about the only reason.
3) Ah, well, it seems to be that the west coast is stronger than the east coast in both my studies, so....

Hmmm.....  I'm not exactly sure of how to get going with this...  E-mail the schools out of the blue?  Sure, why not?

I superdy random thought that came up (and the reason for this post):
About or before my brother and I were born, my grandma didn't like the idea of trick-or-treaters (she might not like them today, either).  So!  She didn't have jack-o-lanterns or pumpkins or any decorations, and she turned off the lights in the home to discourage any kids on ringing the door.
But, inevitably, a kid does, and of course Grandma doesn't have any chocolates or candies, but gives something else that's sweet.
Banana.
The kid: I don't want this.
And gives it back to grandma.

Maaaaaaaaaan, I did not know that.
Only nine more months to go until Halloween!!!!!  I'll dress up like myself!
